Lesson Four: Affects on ecosystems.

This lesson identifies events that affect the balance in ecosystems.

1 Write down what types of activities and events you think could have a negative affect on ecosystems. These can be human made or natural.

2. For each of the following factors that can affect the health of an ecosystem, describe what each one means and list what damage could be caused by them.

Introduced Animals (rabbits, feral cats):

Introduced Plants (weeds, grasses, trees that are not native to the area):

Natural Disasters (floods, fire):

Human activity (logging of trees, construction, rubbish):

4. What things could you do to have a positive affect on ecosystems and how would you go about doing these?
