Tom Price is located 1632kms North West of Perth. It has a population of around 3500 people, the majority of whom are mine employees for Pilbara Iron. Pilbara Iron is an open-cut iron-ore mining operation.
The town is close to the gorges and ranges of Karijini National Park which provides fantastic outings and camping trips for locals and tourists.
North Tom Price Primary School has approximately 280 students and caters for 4 year olds to Year 7's. The school was the second primary school built in Tom Price in 1978, its purpose was to cater for the expanding number of families moving to Tom Price to work in the mining industry.
