Picking up Animals- YRCS
Hi Mr Simon, the question that came up today was how do you pick up the animals you find, particuly the echidnas. Over the last few days we have focused on echidnas (i read a big book that they found really interesting so i have run with this, hope thats ok). We are writing a report on echidnas and reading about ecosystems and habitats. Were are all enjoying your journal writings and cant waite to see your photos and hear the stories. From Miss Tanya, Archie Jamie-Lee and Jasmine.

Hi guys,
I'm really glad you've found a big book on echidnas - sounds like the perfect thing to go along with this week. It sounds like you guys have picked up on the topics of echidnas, ecosystems and habitats really well; well done Archie, Jamie-Lee and Jasmine (and whoever else has been working on it) and definitely well done Miss Tanya!
Your questions have all been great.
I've got a whole heap of photos for when I get back to show all of the things I've been writing about, so that will help me to answer your questions.
I've answered Archie's question about picking up echidnas; I should point out that the only animal I've picked up so far was a DEAD echidna, so I'm not really an expert yet. One more day to find my own echidna out in the bush, so I could still come back to Yande an expert (fingers crossed!).
I'm looking forward to coming back and hearing what you can all tell me about echidnas - make sure you get the kids from the others classes involved too (they'll probably enjoy hearing about what you've learnt, and you might be able to show them this website).
Good on ya, guys!
