Port Hedland Students

Hello all and I am glad to see you are using the forum. I am going to answer all your questions in one go. Lachlan it is very hard to see an echidna and then try and get a spike. The echidna slowly gets rid of their spikes so I will try. Nellie what I mean on that question is to find out when the teachers are on Kangaroo Island. For all the students who asked about the Kangaroos there are heaps and they are everywhere. They come right up to the back door of where we eat and the lay around my tent during the day. My favourite animal I have seen so far is the beautiful stingray which travels around in the lagoon, around 500 metres from where we stay. I have also seen some caves and tunnels in which the echidnas thravel through. Gemma the echidnas are very cute and they have lighter spikes than the echidnas in our area. Amber you asked an interesting question about how the animals got to Kangaroo Island. Well originally Kangaroo Island was attached to the mainland of Australia so that is how the animals travelled here. Danny Kangaroo Island is very nice I am going to explore more of the island on Thursday so I will tell you what the other sections of the island is like. Keep sending me interesting questions and check the photos section and my highlights each day. Speak to you tommorow. Ms Kelly
